Description:
The Integrated Community Development Project under the education theme in 2022 conducted various educational programs, including stationery and school uniform support, parental education, ECED (Early Childhood Education and Development) classroom management, children’s participation in learning sharing meetings, assistive equipment support for children, psycho-social support packages/counseling for children with disabilities, and training for teachers on disabled-friendly pedagogy. This project was carried out in close coordination with the local government in Bhangaha Municipality.

Objectives:
The main objective of the project is to improve the care and development of children within families and communities.

Major Activities:

  1. New Child intake.
  2. Child-friendly classroom management.
  3. Parental education on the parent’s role in child education.
  4. Workshop on education development and staff capacity.
  5. Capacity-building training for SMC (School Management Committee) and PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) members.
  6. Training for teachers on disabled-friendly pedagogy.
  7. Training for Disabled Network/Group members.
  8. Psycho-social support package/counseling for children with disabilities.
  9. Education materials support.
  10. ECED classroom management.

Achievements:

  1. Supported 1196 students with educational materials.
  2. Provided 27 disabled children with required assistive devices.
  3. Supported 1196 children with nutritious food.
  4. Renovated one school and constructed a new drinking water supply system.
  5. Provided capacity-building training to 38 ECED facilitators.
  6. Supported education materials for children.
  7. Provided training to Disabled Network/Group members.
  8. Provided capacity-building training to SMC and PTA members.
